Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior, and King of Kings.
Oregon City Charlotte Mason (OCCM) is a community of home educators from across the Upper Willamette Valley that strive to create opportunities for the connection and fellowship of like-minded families and friends. We create purposeful outlets to come alongside one another in life and learning and culture, both for ourselves as growing educators, and for our children to find their own rich, healthy relationships.

Our Story
The Beginning
It was a simple beginning. A gathering of strangers for a talk on Charlotte Mason met in Amy Nyvall's livingroom during the summer of 2017. Something beautiful began. Two months later the first book discussion met. Five families joined together sharing CM Riches as "Friday Friends" that fall.
OCCM Today.
Today a number of book discussions have sprouted into the Willamette Valley and are the bedrock of learning and growing in CM philosophy and our help in a life toward a living education and connecting our community. Community events, the OCCM Co-op, Winter Gathering, and now the Living Streams Retreat connect us, encourage us, and feed us with ideas as we grow as whole persons and educators of our families.
All our teaching of children should be given reverently, with the humble sense that we are invited into this matter to cooperate with the Holy Spirit; but it should be given dutifully and diligently..."
